Walk for the Cure in Willow Creek

We had over 400 Walkers and Runners from all over Denver in 2011. The walk was started 4 years ago when our friend Linda could not walk in the Race for the Cure downtown any longer because her breast cancer had spread to her brain . We decided to gather a few friends and walk in the neighborhood and do the walk there. We made a 5K course and the Walk for the Cure in Willow Creek was born! Linda passed away from her cancer this April.

This year we raised close to $9000 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation and $850 for the Triple Negative foundation as this was the type of cancer that Linda had.
